Willem McArthur
A young rural man travels a dusty mountain road leading away from his family’s farm. Determined not to become his father, Willem has set out that morning to catch a rail north. Willem’s intended destination is the state university where he intends to study finance, but a chance encounter with an enigmatic stranger, who offers water, words, and shelter from the coming rain, may alter and perhaps even destroy Willem’s ambitious plans.
'Willem McArthur' is a short take on how the true motivations behind our heart's desires can manifest themselves in unexpected ways, threatening who we are and who we intend to become.
